Quick report

Dug two quick test pits. First one was at 6100’ on an E aspect ~25 degree slope in an area with a obvious wind loading on the surface. We found a crust 30cm down and when we went to perform a CT there was a sheer during isolation on the crust. Our second quick pit was also on an E aspect at 6000’ on a ~25 degree slope but in an area with no wind loading. The crust here was 50cm down and did not produce any results in a CT. Only result here was CT17RP 12cm down (in the new snow).

Avalanche

Small stuff on N aspect at 6300’. It looks like it occurred during the last storm
