Snowpack
Hard, stout slab ~35cm thick, 30cm or so from the surface, windblown/rounded grains progressing toward faceting crystals. ~45cm faceted, cohesionless crystals comprise the bottom of the snowpack. New plus windblown soft slab @ top, easily disturbed/compacted.
