Quick report
Nice late afternoon walk to look at snow/snow coverage and to attempt some turns. I failed to make turns due to late departure, but there were a few wind logs that I could've wiggled on with a bit more time. There was a good bit of pre-10/24 snow here, similar to what I've observed in the trail creek area. Looking at the backside of Boulder Peak and deeper into the North Fork it appeared that this pattern continued.
Today's mild temperatures were the start of a multi-day warning trend that was transforming the snow at the surface. Faceted snow that had developed in the days after the 10/24 was beginning to melt and round thanks to the warm temperatures.
I found a half-eaten elk leg on the road on the drive back.
