I found a ~3 foot thick snowpack above last week's rainline. Shaded slopes above ~8,000' had a slab over weak layer structure that produced a couple of collapses and poor snowpack test scores.
I did not observe fresh slides since the end of the last storm.Weather

Scattered snow flurries and slight upticks in the wind accompanied bands of small mid-level cumulus. Short breaks in sun. Generally light wind.
Snowpack
ENE @ ~8,600': HS = 85 cm. The snowpack above the rainline was well-graded (F->1F) with no apparent weak layers outside the obvious facets near the ground. This layer produced unstable snowpack test scores (ECTP17, 25).
ESE @ 8,000': HS = 45 cm. No old facets, only recent storm snow. Rain crust down 15 cm.
Valley Floor: HS = 17 cm. 5-8 cm ice crust makes for good cruising off the ground.
