White Rock Lake

Light to moderate NE winds lasted well into the afternoon and prevented significant warming of slopes exposed to the wind. Although some light wind transport was occuring, we didn't encounter unstable deposits on leeward aspects today. Wind sheltered slopes were warming by mid day, with moist snow on N aspects and wet snow on the surface of S aspects. Although minor roller ball activity was observed, we did not see further signs of wet instabilities. Several large cornices were concerning given the warm temperatures forecast for this week.
