Quick Observation

We saw 2 large natural avalanches in south-facing avalanche paths that likely slid on Saturday (one in Irish Queen southwest bowl shown in pic). No signs of new avalanches on Sunday or Monday. By Sunday afternoon south and west facing slopes were getting really heavy and are likely crusty now. There was nice settled powder on north facing slopes on Monday. From probing we could feel the late Jan crust an average of 40 cm deep.
