Quick Observation
Skied Hector South today, late start. BTL crust was supportive to skis all day with good coverage up and down, some tough travel just at treeline if you don't have ski crampons. Ridge is in nice shape to bootpack. In the alpine on southern slopes there was up to 15cm of F+/4F isolated wind slab(unreactive), one small size one loose wet on the sw face at the choke around 2500m. Ski quality was dense dust on alpine groomer, fast and fun! Cool light winds kept the alpine dry for the most part. Of note, we could see the river crossings to pulpits have melted out.
