What’s the opposite of April Sun in Cuba?

Northwest Inland

A cloudy day with moderate southerly winds at Hankin meant we didn’t see all of the alpine terrain. We did see two small wind slab avalanches (size 1) that released from underneath the cornice on the steep slopes above the cabin. These avalanches likely occurred between 24 and 48 hours ago. At upper elevations we found between 15 and 25 cm of snow over a firm crust, which made for some enjoyable turns! We found the new snow to be moderately well bonded to the crust, but are still watching out for reactive wind slabs in wind-loaded areas. At lower elevations we found a crusty surface that had been rained on.
