Hanover was Iced Over
South Coast

It got hot yesterday. There was a supportive 2 inch thick crust on all aspects to mountain top. (1748m). Lots of wet slides yesterday under 1400m on solar aspects. Everything was still rock hard down to 1000m when I rode down around noon. Thin layer of high cloud partially blocking sun. I approached from Porteau on the HSCT and it wasn't akinnable until Deeks lake @ 1038m. Totally bare to 850m. Booted up the S couloir to Hanover summit. The snow/ice crust was decent for booting. At least the crust was supportive!
