Turned around on Chephren Right Couloir today at about 10am. Solar was stronger than expected today with skies moving from BRK to SCT. Temp was -4.3 at 1700m at about 11am.
Surface above 1500m was about 10cm of new snow on melt freeze crust, with weaker breakable crust lower down.
Observed one large loose dry likely Sz 1.5 to 2 out of steep unskiable terrain, as pictured and a few smaller ones. Unsure of trigger, possible small cornice or similar as we saw one small fresh chunk in the runout.
Wind was light throughout the day.

Terrain Ridden
Alpine slopes, Dense trees.
Snow Conditions
Crusty.
