We skied lines to the W and S of the bench at 1850m, SW of the tusk. The day way cloudy with brief periods of sun and flurries. S facing aspects has a sun crust under about 5-8cm of fresh snow that seems to have fallen the night before and through the morning/day. Sun crust was mainly observed on open slopes while ascending, very little evidence of it when riding trees and small open areas on the way out. Exposed features (~1700-1800m, S-W aspects) had signs of wind loading in very isolated spots, but showed no reaction to riding or ski cuts. The barrier skied well on the way out with some very enjoyable turns and no trouble crossing the creek (may change soon though). There was debris from point releases earlier in the week up to size 1 between 1300m and 1000m. Below ~1100m on the ski out, snow was heavy and wet from the rising FL and afternoon sun; boot pen ~20-30cm in the forest when reconnecting to the trail.
