Classic bluebird ski day!
Did several hand shear tests along the approach up the avalanche chute and saw no failures. Snow felt stable, no fractures or wumpfing. The fresh snow from last weekend seems to have settled, a hard layer can be felt approx. 30cms down which could be a problem with more sunloading over the weekend. Snow felt heavier as the day went on, especially on the last pitch before the saddle. A little bit of windslab on the small pitch before the peak but no cracking. Ski down was soft and deep powder at the top with a bit of sluffing, soft snow on skiers right in the glades trees and then crusty and tracked out for the last 1/3 of the descent. No signs of instability on the descent.
