We started out with low expectations for the skiing today but found some decent turns on north aspects at alpine and treeline elevations. With the temperatures staying cool at -1.6C at 2150m and the sun staying behind the clouds all day, hazard stayed low the entire time we were out there. Slopes that face the sun had a 10cm thick hard crust over them while north facing slopes had a 2cm thick crust over them. The dusting of snow we received two days ago had been sifted by winds onto northerly slopes so there was between 5-10cm of soft snow over the crust making for fun skiing. Also saw a lynx out enjoying the spring day!
