Quick Observation

Valley bottom snowpack is disappering quickly and getting really thin. Snow does not support snowmachines or humans, some places the snow is very "rotten". Creeks are opening up and it is getting harder and harder to get to alpine. Every possible avalanche slope we have seen on every aspect avalanched out. We have seen some monsters out there, going from ridgetops all he way to valley bottoms. Most of them from beginning of the warming cycle. All loose wet, ripped to the ground. Alpine still has good spring riding, snowpack at 2000m was 150-180cm. Temp was +7 at 4pm. Light NW winds. We stayed away from headwalls/ridges with cornices still on top of them. We haven't noticed any whumpfing or cracking.
