Surprise Paas

Toured up to surprise pass through Saddleback. Observed no natural avalanches from the snow this last week on north faces which gave us confidence to ski Surprise. Snow quality was excellent after the first (usual) 50m of wind affected snow. Fairview still looks bony, but good skiing to be had through the larch terrain in the saddle. Good coverage the entire way to the lake.
