Friday Feb 24. Zoa trees. 10 or so cm of dust on crust, no slabs. Some sun and wind. Not bad not great quality due to the Rain crust under the softer snow. Sat Feb 25. Up se side of thar to thar nak saddle missing thar summit due to the windy day. Very hard Styrofoam snow in places where wind took away any soft snow, bad for skinning good for boot packing. No wind slabs but could feel softer pockets where wind deposited snow in lee spots. Rode nw down from thar nak saddle down to eventually reach falls lake. Good conditions on these n facing slopes that didn't get very sun baked though could still feel rain crust below up to 20cm of softer snow. Sun Feb 26 up markhor ridge down n bowl entering from about 1700m level rather than slightly higher up. Skinning up ridge lots of wind creating thin wind slabs up to about 30cm thick on and near ridge (shooting cracks) made us nervous so on the way down we avoided alpine bowls and entered the n facing bowl runs from a lower treed ramp at about 1700m rather than the higher entrance down an alpine gully at about 1850m. Couldn't comfortably scramble up the icy summit rocks in our ski boots.
