Gunbarrels

Decided to check out the Gunbarrels after getting some sneaky coveted bets. Top half great snow light snow in the main chutes. Some old debris well covered. Bottom half at tree line/sun alpine is survival skiing. Weather was mostly clear in morning with cloud rolling in at around lunch. Cloud layer sitting around 3 grand. Winds were light, sporadic but prodominanlty from south east. No blowing snow observed. Minor wind affect felt across slope on the south western aspects. Some very tiny sluffs observed from skier traffic on the steeper pitch’s. Didn’t run to far. Trace precip in the aft. We did hear a number of very large whumpfs in the blowdown and within the trees. Loud but distant, and often enough we considered the possibility of something else. If you go, save a sliver of good snow for milo.
