Went up West Granite to get eyes on the recent snowfall and enjoy the north slope if appropriate. Noticeable wind effect as soon as we entered alpine at 4500' south facing. We found thin, cracking wind slabs a bit further up around 5000' SSE facing. The first few hundred feet of the north slope was deep unconsolidated pow. From 5000' down to 4300' wind slabs became more apparent. I triggered a very small slide, but the terrain was benign and I was able to quickly ski out of it. The day's theme was wind, and lot's of it. Either creating shallow slabs or depositing powder elsewhere
