Quick report

- we dug a couple hasty hand pits at (5200’) near the slot exit Col. new storm snow easily broke in one cohesive slab on the 12/24 rain crust about 14”-16” down. - snow was mostly non-reactive while skiing, skinning up, stomping on test slopes, etc. lower around 3500’-4000’ the 4ish” of new snow on the trees sluffed easily on the crust, but was non impactful to skiing. - tons of obvious due west wind effect from last nights storm. Trees were plastered on their west sides and snow heavily textured in exposed locations above 4000’. - lots of booby traps below 4500’ coverage above that was solid and enjoyable to ski.
