Quick report
Near the base of Central, snow was extremely dense with some chunder mixed in from the slightly warmer temps and refrozen tracks left by other skiers from yesterday. After reaching elevations above ~3300ft, there was a sharp shift in the quality of skiing with snow becoming much more dry than expected, making for some unexpectedly phenomenal turns, especially in untracked areas. The overall coverage and conditions felt significantly less hazardous than yesterday, the increased density in snow made for a much more supportable base for skiing where we were a lot less worried about sharks. By the late afternoon, a very slight breakable crust formed over low elevation snow (< 3200 ft). No signs of instability or cracking noticed at any point today. We traveled between 2900 ft and 3800 ft today and did not observe any change in instability over that elevation range.
