A wet and somewhat active day. Rain and unsupportive wet snow. Numerous natural wet loose avalanches from the past 12 hours, some that were large. Visibility was poor.

Rain of varying intensity. Mostly poor visibility, but periods of clouds lifting. South wind was mostly light, but found consistently strong wind at the top of the Skyline lift around 11:30.

Height of snow and layers
HS has dropped over the past couple of days due to the rain. Around 5,000ft, it averaged just under 200cm. The Jan 3rd crust is 55-70cm below the surface. The Dec 24th crust is only slightly deeper.

Water pooled at recent 2-3 different storm interfaces, though none were problematic in tests.
↓66-69cm: P+-P hard, Jan 3rd crust, Upper ice lens was frozen, slight water pooling on top.
No results in small column tests (CTN, DTN: Jan 3rd ↓66cm).

Numerous wet avalanches on most aspects and elevations. Saw ~10 slides in poor visibility. Lichtenberg Mtn, Arrowhead, Nason Ridge, White Pine Creek. Distribution: specific- initiated from very steep rolls, rock bands, and cliffs. Size: D2: 2, D1.5: ~5 , D1: ~3. Some gouged deeply, but not as deep as the Jan 3 crust.
