Toured up the standard winter climbing route. Observed cool temps in the morning, and all day up high. Winds were quite breezy, with widespread wind-affected surfaces, obvious cornices and wind lips, and visible blowing snow. the wind appears to have shifted from a more westerly to more easterly direction, as it was blowing against previously constructed cornices and wind lips today. I observed one natural wind slab (possibly started by a small cornice collapse) that was likely from the day before. there was isolated cracking in wind-stiffened snow near kick turns, but this was rare even when I tried to provoke it.

Wind Slab, likely natural trigger as I saw no tracks. Variable depth from about 40-100 cm on the crown. Possibly small cornice collapse.
