Quick report
The release occurred on a convex roll that led into a gulley that was possibly wind loaded, we saw many signs of wind loading from the previous days alongside multiple other slab avalanche releases on similar aspects from the day prior. Hand shear tests showed a propensity for failure on this crust layer with a clean shear quality. The snow was light and deep but wind stiffened pockets were common.

3rd snowboarder on slope trigger a D1 slab avalanche that released above them. NE aspect at 5,500' that failed on the crust layer down 12-16" Slab was 25' across and 25' long . The debris was fast moving and traveled about 100' down slope.
