March 23 POWDER!

Sunny skies and below freezing temperatures overnight with 10cm of fresh snow made it a good day to be in the mountains. We spent the day east of Sparwood, as we travelled up to the alpine there was evidence of previous wind effect at treeline. Strong west winds throughout the day in the alpine made us suspect windslabs were forming so we spent some time enjoying the 25cm of soft snow in protected areas.
