Quick report
Boulder Mtns: one sizeable fresh slab avalanche was observed, and there was isolated sun-induced loose snow avalanche activity. No fresh avalanches were spotted in the Smoky Mtns, but the light wasn't great for viewing that terrain in the afternoon.

Clear to PC with high clouds moving into the Smoky Mtns by 4:30 PM. No snow was being actively wind-transported.
Snowpack
No formal snowpack observations. There were some isolated fresh rollerballs on direct solar slopes (S-SW) at upper and middle elevations.

The D2 slab avalanche in Goat Ck was recorded in the Avalanche database. The other smaller slides have details in the photo captions. All the observed activity occurred in upper elevation terrain or near the middle-upper transition and appeared to involve only the Feb 13-14 snowfall. The bigger of the two Boulder Peak slides may be a D2 avalanche; the debris was clearly visible, but I could not see where it originated or if it was a small slab or loose snow slide. The observed loose snow avalanche activity was fairly small and not widespread.
