Quick report
hiked goat mountain west, rode SW face. snow line started around 4k. weather clear, winds minimal throughout day. Early morning had very small amounts of surface hoar in shaded areas. new snow 3-5 inches (increased with eleation) on top of saturate snow pack. generally well bonded but heavy sun affected and steep slopes could be rider triggered wet loose avalanches, size very small (could bury at cat) down to saturated layer. Ridge lines with minimal drifts and cornices as expected but no other wind affected areas noted. no natural avalanche activity throughout the day, only old roller balls that were lightly covered in recent snow at high elevations.
