banner summit / peak 9220

surface hoar on southern aspects only below 7400. Traveled on south east west and north aspects in trees and open slopes, no instability noted at all elevations. impenetrable surface crust ( aka terrible skiing) at all elevations up to 9000 ft on e,w,s aspects. Exited off w/nw ridge of 9220, skied off and below rock outcrop - 40-45 degrees, again no reactivity. Good snow north aspects with decent coverage. bare ground in many places at high elevations too.
