Quick report
Best skiing of 2025 so far! We saw very few signs of instability except in steep, convex terrain near the ridge top. The weather remained cold throughout the day and we skied plenty of right side up low angle pow. We never encountered the group that triggered the slides.
Avalanche
We saw evidence of 3 different skier triggered size D1 avalanches on an east facing aspect at around 5200 ft elevation. All occurred on steep convexities and produced crowns up to 18 inches with debris running around 100 ft downslope. There were no signs of any skiers or riders caught.
