Quick report
A foot of cold, dry powder above 5000ft on the heliotrope ridge approach. Low visibility and SW45mph gusts. Observed widespread snow transport. Numerous shallow wind slabs present below convexities, 2 intentionally triggered. ECT did not fully propagate, observed a shear 30cm down on first hit from shoulder (@6500ft wind sheltered NE facing).
Avalanche
2 wind slabs intentionally triggered around 6000ft NE facing: 1/ Intentionally triggered above a convexity. Broke 1 to 2ft deep and propagated nearly 200ft (D2). Nobody caught. 2/ Intentionally triggered from a convexity below a cliff band. Broke 30ft wide, less than 1ft deep. Nobody caught. (D1).
