Quick report

We found varying snow depths depending on aspect and exposure to the wind, ranging from 80cm to 110cm. Overall, the snowpack structure remains poor, with a distinct crust mid-snowpack with weak, sugary faceted snow below. Our observations matched the forecast with persistent weak layers being more reactive on N and NE slopes. We had isolated shooting cracks and large collapses on wind affected Ridge tops

Snowpack

We dug on both solar and shaded aspects of Hamburger Hill. We did not find any propagation in its extended columns in more solar-exposed areas. On more protected shaded northerly aspects, we had propagation in its extended column tests mid-snowpack on surface hoar above a distinct Crust.
