Quick report
Sunny and warm day at the pass! There was widespread surface hoar in the morning, and although much of it broke down in the sun by the afternoon, it was preserved in the trees and shaded aspects. South aspects had a 3-5 cm thick sun crust, which had softened by 2 pm. The crust slowed down the warming process of the snow on the s side of Snoqualmie mountain and even when we left around 2 pm we saw minimal roller balls/wet avalanche activity. The north/shaded aspects held cold, dry snow that was settled and appeared right-side-up. We observed almost no evidence of significant wind transport from last night, most of the wind evidence looked at least a few days old.
