We need observed some amount of cracking, especially when making kick turns on the skin track. It seemed confined to the top 8-12” of snow. Overall stability seemed to increase throughout the day, but the 2-4” that fell mid day did not seem to bond well to the slightly older snow layer. This easily sluffed off on steeper slopes.
Avalanche
Triggered a small dry loose on a short steep slope. Wasn’t large but it was bigger than expected. Whatever snow fell during the day didn’t seem to be bonding well with last nights snow.
