Twin Lakes between Mt. Margaret and Lake Lillian in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

Snow began below Mt. Margaret. Every open slope along the trail toward Lake Lillian had signs of instability in the form of rollers. The new snow on the steep slopes east of Twin Lakes was streaked with roller tracks. In general, the snow was wet and heavy and began softening even more around 11a when the sun cleared the ridge.
