Gray Creek Pass

Dug a “No Excuse Block” (similar to a Rutsch block) at 2150m on an East facing, 30 degree slope. Block failed 20 cm deep on a wind layer when stepping on the block (a “2” result). The Dec 16th rain crust was 40 cm deep and appears to be well bonded at this location (could not get it to fail on that layer). Total snow depth was 160cm. We skied planar, we’ll supported slopes and the ski quality was excellent.
