I have been skiing around Revelstoke the last few days. Great powder skiing down to 1800m. With the convective weather the snow has been staying great but the sun certainly packs a punch when it comes out. I have been choosing to stay pretty mellow by skiing supportive slopes, not spending anytime under the massive cornices or slopes with massive cornices at the top and keeping an eye on slopes heating up when the sun pokes out. Moderate winds out of the S, blowing snow around at ridge top but below that, there is no wind effect. No new avalanches observed and only minor sluffing in steep terrain. Still feels very wintery up there and we really haven't made the transition to a spring snowpack yet.
