Cloudy day on Helena Ridge, very windy and cold in the alpine. Great skiing from 2200m-2500m with 15cm powder over firm slab, from 2500m to the summit was wind scoured and icy. The dense trees at lower elevations had heavy, punchy snow which made the descent quite spicy. Ski out is fast but with relatively good coverage, only a few exposed rocks/tree stumps. We heard a natural avi run around 10:30, but weren't able to get a visual on where it was. May have spotted a crown off the NE aspect of Castle Mountain but I'm not certain due to the clouds
Heard a natural avalanche run around 10:30am, weren't able to get a visual on it. We had just turned off from the Rockbound Lake trail to head towards Helena Ridge when we heard it. Weren't able to see any debris of evidence of the avi from the ridge
