Herdman Couloir and Crossover Path

Getting after the last bit of steep skiing we could get to before the weather came in. Herdman couloir was VERY skied out even before skiing it. Most of the snow was either mechanically sintered or runnels from old sluff running through the couloir. The cornices were still prevalent and holding in the couloir but there was some debris from one on lookers right of the cross over paths. 6 skiers including ourselves went up the couloir. The crossover paths have a supportive crust with a few cms of pow on top which made for “groomer” turns almost the whole way down.
