Skied North Bowl yesterday evening. The air felt wet (there was a noticeable haze, too!) and temp was estimated just below freezing. Looked and felt like a new surface hoar layer had started growing over the course of the day, more pronounced at tree line but present even at the top of the Dome. Aside from poor viz, the skiing was good. The new snow was supportive but fun, mostly keeping us on top of the hard wind affected surface that it buried in the alpine. No signs of instability but the firm surface underneath caused a small sluff to run quite far.
