Zoa Ridge

We skinned up the Zoa ridge. Rode the north facing bowl off the sub peak, between the sub peak and true peak. Skinned back up and rode another run down a north facing drainage off the sub peak. Great riding! Dug a snow pit before we rode. Observed a crust 80 cm down. Total snow depth 155 cm. Lots of wind loading. Did a column test with no results. Pulled off a big well consolidated slab with a shovel pull that sheered off the observed crust (see picture). Amazing first day out!
