Goop on crust

Today we saw the start of the next big warm up. The top 10-15cm of the snowpack was wet and there were shooting cracks around the sleds. This started our discussion on human factors and what our objectives for the day were. We found a location to do a some dig a profile to do some further investigating and decided to not continue further into the Gleason. The snowpack is warming up! The next big temperature spike coming later this week could bring some very large natural avalanches.
