Attempted to go up to MacLatchie for an assessment today, and turned around on the Lodgepole road at Km 31 due to severe washout and flood debris across the road. See images.
There is very snow minimal coverage up to 1400m. We were not able to get any observations higher up due to cloud cover. It began to snow in the PM and temperatures hovered around -4 at valley bottom (1100m).
There is additional water damage to the Lodgepole road not pictured, and the creeks are still pumping water out from the mountains. Good for a high water Wigwam kayak mission, but not conducive to snowmobile/ski travel. We will be waiting for more snow before we return!
