Awesome powder turns on Pulpit 1 Knob! Crossing hector lake is possible but we found that the surface was very slushy. Unfortunately this resulted in heavy wet globby skins for the rest of the day. There is also still a big open patch further west on the lake which hopefully will close soon with the cold weather incoming. We didn’t notice any signs of instability like cracking or whumfing on our skin up to the summit of the knob. There were many recent slab avalanches across the highway on the west slopes of Hector and Hector south peak. Sweet pow turns in the trees on the ski down!
