Surprise powder at Harvey

Unexpected awesome day riding. There were some signs of slab avalanches in the previous few days- quite large crowns. We stayed away from the northeast to south aspects as per the avalanche forecast- we noticed significant wind loading and crust in these areas. On the west to northwest aspect we enjoyed some fluffy powder up to boot top deep, although patchy rocks underneath this (it’s still November after all) Overall... it was an awesome day and totally worth the skin up!
