Yoho - Hamilton lake area

Touring beyond Hamilton lake today we had several 20m+ shooting cracks while ascending small south facing rolls in the apline. The weak layer was difficult to indent, but a thin sun crust could be felt Dow not 50cm. The snowpack was about 180cm a time this location (2300m elevation). Other aspects had no obvious weaknesses. I'd treat emerald slide path with suspicion based on our observations. Where present, the weakness was extremely reactive
