Evidence of a wind slab avalanche on the north facing aspect of Mount Whymper below the cliff band east of the couloir, naturally triggered and likely occured sometime this morning or early afternoon.
Our group completed 4 pits on one of the first avalanche paths on the south aspect of Boom Mountain. We consistently experienced sudden planner releases (moderate) about 45 cm deep on the rain crust. Overall depth was about 85cm. CT15 ECTP24
