Quick report

Went to S Monitor bowl from Solitude today, there was a inch of graupel down low and about 3 in the bowl. The whole bowl consisted of faceted sugary snow that will not hold much of a load if it decides to snow. the upper portion of the Bowl off the ridgeline had a small windslab which would crack when provoked but most of the bowl is sugar with a topping of graupel. The W facing had more of a crust and a bottom due to the wind blowing up USA Bowl. The snow is still sum what supportable but if it just keeps sitting there it’s bound to loose all structure. video is of the cracking and the loose faceted structure.

Snowpack

The N facing terrain had mostly faceted loose snow with a 3 inch coating of graupel capping it off. Not bad for skiing but really bad for future loads.
