Quick report
Rode back to Mud Pass and Starvation Peak to check the persistent slab reactivity. We found propagation in snowpits on NE and W aspects in upper elevations failing on the Novemeber drought layer. Continued warm and dry conditions are allowing this weak layer to adjust to the current load. Main concern remains shaded aspects and steep rocky terrain (see attached Avalanche Events to see what we're talking about). Warm temperatures the last two days has resulted in significant snow settlement near the surface. Snow has stayed fairly preserved on northelies and shaded treed zones. Snow depth drastically increases around 8500' with an average depth of 3'.
Snowpack
Found the rain crust that exists around Teton Pass. Unsure how far south this crust extends south into the Snake River Range. November drought layer was active in stability tests. This layer is certainly trending more stubborn as dry weather continues.
