Just a quick outing to get out of the valley haze. 9300’ NE perhaps 10cm of rapidly faceting snow sits on the friable 1cm crust. A nightmare of facets and depth hoar sits below. Total snow there rougly 45cm. It’s as weak as I can remember and we’re primed for a significant avalanche cycle (season?) once winter arrives.
