Surface MFcr on all aspects and elevations traveled. Snowprofile @9.5k' on SW aspect: HS 90-110cm. Crust/facet combo down 15cm. <1mm FC found at interface. MFcr/FC down 35 with small grained facets.. Mostly depth hoar below this layer 35 down, This was our primary layer of concern. ECTN 17, on crust 15 cm down. No wind slab in this location. Snow profile at 9.5k' on SE had similar HS but got propagation in ECT, also w/o windslab. Teams on North aspects did not report propagation in their pits. 9k' on a west aspect on a pocket of windslab. 9.5k' on SE aspect not in wind loaded area.
Snowpack
Traveled on SE, S, SW, and W aspects between 8.8k' and 9.5k' as part of an avalanche course. Found a thin snowpack(~1meter or less) with poor structure, (4-5 lemons) in all terrain traveled in. Other members of the course traveled in more northerly terrain across the road and found a deeper (2-3m) snowpack with moderate structure.
