Snowpack

Moist snow all the way up to topping out at 6,600'. Pinwheels grew to impressive sizes on our way up, peak wet loose hazard was approximately 1300 on eastward slope, and diminishing on our decent around 1500. Pit in sheltered NE aspect at 6,200': ECTX, CT21 at density change 33cm from surface (no discernable grain difference), shovel shears on Grinch and Atmospheric River crusts, water pooling on AR crust <100cm from surface. Deep boot penetration. Was very surprised at how quickly the snowpack diminished at BTL...we carried our skis down the last pitch (4,700-4,400').
